Arya Wells Micah Perrin Vera Lowe

Synopsis

Arya Wells spent her life hiding. After rogues slaughtered her Moonshadow Pack, she buried her identity as the Alpha Queen to honor her dying mother's final wish. She married Micah Perrin, the alpha of the Nightwind Pack, and spent a full year managing his family, running pack affairs, and waiting for his return from war. What came back was not the man she had pledged herself to. Micah arrived with Vera, his pregnant fated mate and a decorated general, expecting Arya to quietly step aside and share the Luna title she had earned. Instead, Arya demanded a divorce and something snapped loose inside her. With Lowe, the Lycan King who turns out to be her true mate, she moves to reclaim her people, her fortune, and the throne that was always hers, while a far darker truth about Vera begins to surface.

What You Didn't Know About This Series

Rejected Luna Is the Alpha Queen reached 14.9 million views on ReelShort's official series page, a number that places it among the platform's fastest-climbing werewolf titles since its release.
The promotional clips shared on YouTube carry hashtags including #LycanKing, #LunaQueen, and #RevengeFantasy, which map directly to the three emotional beats the series is built around: identity, power, and payback. That combination has proven to be one of the most shared tag clusters in the short drama space.
Vera's role goes well beyond the usual antagonist setup. She is revealed not just as the woman who broke up Arya's marriage, but as the person directly responsible for the attack that wiped out the Moonshadow Pack years earlier. That connection reframes everything the audience watched in the first act.
Because ReelShort shoots vertically for mobile screens, the camera stays close to the actors' faces throughout. Almost every confrontation between Arya and Micah is delivered in tight close-up, which puts micro-expressions and eye contact at the center of the storytelling rather than staging or set design.
The series follows a story structure that originated in Chinese web fiction, sometimes called the "hidden strength reveal," where the protagonist deliberately suppresses her abilities through the first act before a public confrontation forces the truth out. ReelShort has adapted this pattern for Western audiences across several of its highest-performing titles.
Arya's white wolf is treated as a visual identity marker throughout the series. Its appearance at key emotional turning points functions almost like a signature, signaling to the audience that the character has stopped holding back.
ReelShort's werewolf and alpha romance category has consistently produced some of the platform's highest watch times. The genre draws a large crossover audience from Wattpad and Kindle Unlimited web novel communities, where betrayal-and-comeback storylines with supernatural settings have been dominant for several years.
