Set against the backdrop of the 1970s, the narrative follows an uncle and his nephew who, after receiving an intriguing offer to venture to the West Sea, embark on a treasure hunt to break free from their lives as counterfeit sellers.

Drawing inspiration from the real-life treasure ship discovery off Korea’s southwest coast in 1975, Low Life immerses us in a time filled with risky opportunities and desperate aspirations. The storyline centers on Oh Gwan-Seok (Ryu Seung-ryong), a man willing to do anything for money, legal or not, alongside his nephew Oh Hee-dong (Yang Se-jong), who has been under his uncle’s care since childhood.

Oh Gwan-Seok: The Driven Uncle

Oh Gwan-Seok has cared for his nephew since he was young, leading him into a life of crime.
